We are a residential sales and lettings estate agency operating in Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
For most processing activities described in this Privacy Notice, Corbin & Co is the data controller. This means that we determine why and how your personal data is processed.

5. Referrals to Tru Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal
As part of our estate agency services, we may recommend or refer customers to Tru Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal for mortgage, conveyancing and/or related professional services.
Corbin & Co receives a referral fee from Tru Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal where a referral results in business for them.
The referral fee is currently: 25% of the broker fee and 25% of any procuration fee received by Tru Solution Mortgages from the lender. This is a commercial arrangement between Corbin & Co and Tru Solution Mortgages and does not result in any additional cost to the client. Clients referred by Corbin & Co pay exactly the same fees as clients who deal directly with Tru Solution Mortgages.
Corbin & Co receives a referral fee of £200 from Open Door Legal where a referral results in business for them. This referral fee is clearly stated on the Open Door quote which is given to you BEFORE you make your decision to take their services.
We disclose this financial interest so that you can make an informed decision. You are not required to use Tru Solution Mortgages or Open Door Legal and you are free to choose another mortgage adviser, solicitor or other professional adviser. We will not disadvantage you because you choose not to use a recommended provider.
Where appropriate and lawful, we may provide relevant contact details or other information to Tru Solution Mortgages and/or Open Door Legal to facilitate an introduction or referral to their services. Where consent is required by applicable law to make a referral or to share your information for that purpose, we will obtain it before doing so.
Tru Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal may process your personal data as independent controllers under their own privacy notices. Once your information has been provided to either provider, its processing of your personal data will be subject to that provider's own privacy arrangements.
Any marketing communications sent directly by Tru Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal must comply with applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws.
You should consider the referral alongside other providers and make your own decision about whether to use the service.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, our legitimate interests may include operating and developing our estate agency business, providing efficient services, communicating with customers, maintaining appropriate records, preventing fraud and protecting our business, staff and customers.

7. Direct Marketing
We may send you information about properties, services and other relevant updates where permitted by applicable law. Where required, we will obtain your consent before sending electronic marketing communications such as marketing emails or text messages.
In certain circumstances, we may rely on the limited "soft opt-in" provisions under PECR for marketing our own similar products and services to existing customers, provided all applicable legal requirements are satisfied.
We will not rely on the soft opt-in to send you marketing communications from third-party organisations. Every marketing communication will provide an appropriate means of opting out.

- property portals, such as Rightmove and OnTheMarket;
- landlords, vendors, buyers, tenants and applicants where necessary to facilitate a transaction or provide our services;
- referencing and compliance providers;
- anti-money laundering and identity verification providers;
- professional advisers, including solicitors, conveyancers, surveyors, mortgage advisers and financial advisers;
- True Solution Mortgages and Open Door Legal where an appropriate introduction/referral is made and disclosure is lawful;
- energy performance certificate providers and other property service providers;
- tenancy deposit schemes;
- government departments, local authorities, regulators and law enforcement agencies where required or permitted by law;
- insurers and other relevant professional service providers;
- banks and payment providers;
- IT, software, hosting, communications and other technology providers that provide services to us;
- accountants, auditors and other professional advisers; and
- our legal advisers where necessary.
Where a third party processes personal data on our behalf, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that appropriate contractual and security arrangements are in place.
Where another organisation acts as an independent controller, that organisation will be responsible for its own processing in accordance with its own privacy notice.
9. International Transfers
We aim to keep personal data within the UK where reasonably practicable.
However, some of our service providers may use infrastructure, personnel or systems located outside the UK, or may otherwise involve international access to personal data.
